4-Part Workshop

Each session builds upon the previous, so participants are expected to attend all four parts.

Introduction to behavioral science and how to start designing with a behavioral lens

Session 2: Dive in

Deep-dive into relevant concepts and practice applying them

Meet 1:1 with your mentor to get feedback and support with your design

Our Team of Expert Behavioral scientists

We are experts in taking the newest research about human behavior, describing it in ways that make it actionable, and helping organizations and companies apply those learnings to build and design better products and experiences for people. Collectively, we've launched over 200 pilots with over 100 companies, reaching millions of households. Our team includes veteran speakers, like Dan Ariely, Mariel Beasley, and Kristen Berman, authors, like Zarak Khan, academics, like and Toni Castro-Cosio, and a whole lot of smart, creative, and knowledgable experts. COVID-19

In addition to learning a lot and having fun, our top priority is to make sure our team and workshop participants are safe. We cancelled our workshops in 2020 and the first half of 2021. We are cautiously optimistic about our ability to hold in-person workshops this Fall. However, we will revisit and revise the situation as needed.

Mandatory Vaccination

All Common Cents Lab staff and workshop attendees will be vaccinated. At this time, folks who are not vaccinated (including for medical or religious reasons) will not participate. This is to protect their health.

CDC Recommendations

We will follow the most up-to-date CDC recommendations for in-person gatherings. Where recommendations conflict with state and local government recommendations or Duke University policy, we will follow the more conservative set of guidelines.
